Designed specifically for the NexStar Evolution and SE 6/8 mounts, this wedge allows you to unlock the full imaging potential of your telescope. Celestron Telescope Cases Editorial Review
The Celestron 93665 Wedge has garnered positive reception among users for its solid Construction and functionality, particularly in astro photography. Offering a robust platform for Celestron telescopes, it is noted for its ease of adjustment and effective polar alignment, making it an attractive option for both amateur and professional astronomers. Many users have highlighted the improvement in tracking accuracy when using a CCD camera, praising the device for its ability to eliminate image rotation—a significant advantage when capturing deep space objects. While experienced users appreciated the technical aspects of the wedge, including its compatibility with Celestron's SSAG product, some reviews caution that proper alignment techniques are not sufficiently covered in the included manuals, prompting users to seek guidance online. This could pose a barrier for novices who may struggle with setup initially. Additionally, while the wedge facilitates autoguiding capabilities and enhances imaging performance, users have noted that it may not extend exposure times beyond certain limits, particularly with specific telescope models like the Celestron NexStar 6SE. However, feedback on quality control brought some disappointment, as a few users reported issues such as damaged adjustment knobs upon arrival. Despite these concerns, the overall Consensus is that the Celestron 93665 Wedge is a worthwhile accessory, especially for those seeking enhanced photographic capabilities without investing in an expensive equatorial mount. **
