GMT Games Board Games GMT1309 Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of GMT Games Cuba Libre - Coin Series Volume 2** GMT Games' *Cuba Libre*, the second volume in the acclaimed COIN series, has won over the hearts of many board game enthusiasts with its unique blend of strategy, accessibility, and engaging gameplay. Designed as a compelling entry point to the series, players find it to be a perfect balance between depth and ease of understanding. Many reviewers commend *Cuba Libre* for being a polished iteration compared to its predecessors, with streamlined mechanics that make it less complex while still providing a satisfying challenge. The game’s smaller board design contributes to a more focused decision-making process, which many novice players appreciate as they navigate the intricate dynamics of wargaming. The game has been highlighted for its vibrant and colorful presentation, enhancing the overall gaming experience. Players commend its strategic depth, which ensures that each session remains engaging and thought-provoking. Furthermore, for those who prefer solitary play, *Cuba Libre* accommodates this with rules that are clearly summarized, allowing for enjoyable short gaming sessions without the feeling of being overwhelmed. However, a few players noted that some cards can be potentially overpowering, suggesting that they might opt to eliminate certain cards in shorter scenarios to maintain balanced gameplay. Despite this minor concern, overall sentiments lean towards *Cuba Libre* being a highly recommended choice for both newcomers and seasoned players alike who are seeking to explore the nuances of the COIN system. **
