Netgate Routers Editorial Review
Netgate 1100 pfSense+ Security Gateway - Firewall, Router, VPN is a robust device designed to provide advanced firewall and routing capabilities. Users appreciate its power and the flexibility it offers, supporting complex configurations that include multiple VPNs and VLANs. However, it's essential to note that it does not support Wi-Fi, requiring an additional device for wireless connectivity. As per user experience, while the setup and configuration can be daunting, particularly for beginners, many find that it operates effectively once properly configured. Issues relating to DNS can arise, but they are often related to ISP outages rather than the device itself. Therefore, extensive knowledge or readiness to learn about networking is vital for optimal usage.
