Vallejo Paints VJ74601 Editorial Review
### Editorial Review Vallejo's airbrush primer has garnered significant praise from experienced hobbyists and newcomers alike for its performance and versatility. With a positive reception across various user experiences, it stands out as a reliable choice for priming model kits, board games, and miniatures. Many users have reported that the primer contributes to excellent adhesion, allowing the paint to stick effectively to various surfaces, including plastic and resin. The primer has been described as having a good flow through airbrushes, showcasing fine detail without obscuring intricate features. Users appreciate the ability to spray it straight from the bottle, although some have found that adjusting the air pressure and mixing with a thinner can yield even better results, especially during extensive priming sessions. While the color may appear lighter than expected—often compared to a 'whitish grey'—it offers enough opacity when layered appropriately. Another highlight is the product's efficiency. One bottle can prime hundreds of models, providing significant value compared to traditional rattle can primers. Users transitioning from rattle cans have noted the advantages of using an airbrush: less mess, faster drying times, and fewer unpleasant odors. Many have also loved its ease of use and the smooth finish it leaves, although caution is advised as the distinction between the primer and light-colored plastic can sometimes be challenging to perceive. Nevertheless, users have pointed out the potential for ‘tip dry’ during prolonged sessions, requiring attention to the airbrush's performance. Some have noted that while the primer provides great coverage, it may occasionally thicken up or gum the nozzle if not monitored. However, these minor setbacks are far outweighed by the product's overall effectiveness and cost-efficiency. In summary, Vallejo's airbrush primer has quickly established itself as a top contender in the realm of modeling supplies, especially for airbrush users aiming for professional-grade results without the downsides of spray cans. Its strong adhesion, excellent coverage, and economical packaging make it a favored tool for both casual and serious hobbyists. ###
