Action & Adventure Editorial Review
The Amazing Spider-Man is a reboot of the Spider-Man franchise, featuring Andrew Garfield as the titular superhero. The movie received mixed reviews upon its release, but the Consensus seems to be that Garfield's performance as Spider-Man is quite good. The film also features solid action sequences and a compelling villain in the form of Dr. Curt Connors, played by Rhys Ifans. However, some critics have criticised the film for retreading ground that was covered in the previous Spider-Man series, and for being too focused on setting up future films rather than delivering a satisfying standalone story. Overall, The Amazing Spider-Man is an enjoyable superhero film that's worth watching for Garfield's performance and the action scenes. However, it's not without its flaws and won't be to everyone's taste.
